CONTEST 1: GUESS THE MOVIES - EXPIRED

Test your knowledge of Asian films. Visit our web site (http://affd.org/2006/films.htm) and guess the film titles on the page. There are six films listed. Many letters are missing. Guess each title. And email the answers to mailbag@affd.org when you figure them out. The first two people to email us with all six correct titles will win a VIP pass. Deadline for the contest is at midnight on June 30th. - EXPIRED

CONTEST 2: HAND AN AFFD FLYER TO A CELEBRITY - EXPIRED

It can be a local, national or international celebrity who is considered a “public figure” (someone easily recognizable). Send us a picture of the celebrity holding an AFFD flyer to mailbag@affd.org for an evidence. You can pick up as many flyers as you need at the Magnolia Theater and the Inwood Theater. If majority of AFFD staff can identify the celebrity, the person who sent the picture with the most famous celebrity will win a VIP pass. Deadline for the contest is midnight on June 30th. - EXPIRED

CONTEST 3: POST AFFD WEB BANNERS

Post as many web banners as you can on your/other’s web sites.
Here is how:

Add AFFD banners to your website
· Get others to add the AFFD banners to their sites as well
· Create an AFFD Web Ring
· Mention the festival in discussion groups and blogs

AFFD began this tradition three years ago in order to raise the funds that go into producing the festival. AFFD has always been dependent on supporters like you, and 2006 is no different. Your contribution one month before the festival is what keeps us afloat. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your contribution is tax deductible...so don't stop at 75 bucks on our account. Individual tickets are $8 each, while Opening, Centerpiece and Closing Night tickets are even more. So, you save a lot of money if you plan on attending several of our screenings. All you have to do is wear your badge and you're in (as long as there are still seats of course) and all parties and receptions are included. This year’s Opening Night screening will include special appearance by filmmakers, and of course, your VIP pass is your ticket to the Opening night parties and the screening.
